HEADLINE: Arson attack on taxi
A firework throwing arsonist attacked a taxi full of passengers and a town centre flat in two separate incidents in Kingsbridge early on Saturday morning.
People were getting in to the taxi at the taxi rank in Embankment Road, Kingsbridge at around 1am when someone hurled a lighted firework in to the rear of the vehicle. The firework went off and while it did not injure anyone it damaged the rear seat of the vehicle.
At around the same time somebody hurled a lighted firework through the window of a first floor flat in Library Court around 50 yards away from the taxi rank. Again no-one was injured but the firework left scorch marks on a carpet. Police want to talk to a man who was wearing a red top who was part of a group of males near the taxi rank. He ran off after the firework was allegedly thrown.
