TAXI CRACK DOWN
Crawley Police teamed up with the borough council to crack down on dodgy taxis and private hire vehicles last week.
Three temporary prohibition orders were issued and a further six vehicles were immediately banned from being private hire vehicles as a result of the clampdown.
Operation Hire was a multi-agency operation involving representatives from the DVLA, Customs and Excise, the Immigration Office and Crawley Borough Council's licensing team.
