I know most people bypass the TDO front page and go direct to the forum but the front page has had a face lift and it will only get better, therefore it might be advisible to bookmark it for future reference.

Where could you get all that taxi case law, taxi legislation, taxi news, etc etc at the click of a mouse?

And all for f*** all. =D>

Early stages yet but hopefully in future you won't have to move from the front page to access everything on this site.

Do you think its an improvement?

Yes JD, it looks very smart and modern, well done to those concerned.

Not so sure about the CC story (nor the JD story) on there though

CC

Well I was going to put that "I'd been sunk" and "you had "won the Eurovision song contest" but I know you cant sing so I thought better of it?

On a more serious note if you go to the front page and click on that rapist story you will find that I got to the bottom of "who done it"? You will not be surprised to find out that it was neither a "hackney" or "private hire" driver? However if it wasn't for my diligence we would never have known.

Well it would appear that the vehicle and driver were working under section 75.1.b. However the vehicle was attached to a private hire radio company so my feelings are that the operator of that private hire company needs investigating to determine what status this vehicle had because an operator can only operate licensed vehicles? I have been in touch with Trafford and asked them to contact the police to get that information. The nub of the matter is that the police have stated to me that this person and vehicle were operating from a private hire firm. Therefore the operator of that firm comes under the jurisdiction of the licensing authority. If the operator is or was operating unlicensed drivers and vehicles then it is an offence.

This incident took place in the summer of 2006 but people are still operating under section 75.1.b until such time the DfT come up with a date for the implementation of the new legislation?

In short, my call would be for all licensing authorities to examine all radio companies that operate unlicensed vehicles and drivers under section 75.1.b to determine if they are complying with the law?

Is there not a big bar at the top with 'Forums' on it, next door to 'Home'?

I hope this "big bar" is well stocked and can accomodate all you heavy drinkers? Perhaps we need to employ more Barmen? lol, Or why not Bar ladies?

Very chic - if you can get the link to "Log in" to work it would be even better  (or is the nasty "now owned by Virgin" Mr NTL playing up at this end again?) I had to click on Forums then go to the bottom of the screen and log in that way because my "always log in" thingy was somehow turned off! Probably something I did wrong I know!

Actually - seeing as it had changed I took the time to have a read through and can't believe that I missed that much info for free in the past! (Have I creeped enough yet? Can I stop being a window licker? Pleaseeeeeee?)

Sorry in a totally stupid mood!

TDO has put a link on the front page to the latest stat figures for site visits, page impressions etc for the last seven days. TDO might make this regular feature.
