I wonder which nationality lost it?

Altercation beforehand! It was only a matter of time that something like this happened.

P.s I know no more than anyone else.

Taxi driver being questioned for attempted murder after Cardiff attack

A 28-YEAR-OLD man is being questioned on suspicion of attempted murder after eight men were struck by a taxi in Cardiff city centre.

Witnesses reported seeing an “altercation” between a taxi driver and six of the men – all of whom were clad in orange workmen’s vests and trousers – moments before the incident, which happened around 7pm on Tuesday as the victims walked along the pavement on Wood Street, between Cardiff Central Station and the Millennium Stadium.

One of the victims, a 35-year-old from Grangetown, is still at the University Hospital of Wales being treated for burns after he became trapped underneath the vehicle.

It is understood he and another man, a 47-year-old also from Grangetown, were not known to the others.

Police believe the six men in orange overalls, all aged between 18 and 21 and from Ely, Canton and Riverside, could have been making their way home when they were hit by the taxi.

It was previously thought they were railway workers, but a spokeswoman for Network Rail said there was “no evidence” to suggest they were employed by the company.

A spokeswoman for the Wales Probation Service also said the six were “absolutely not” on any kind of community order scheme, dubbed “community payback”.

Detectives appealed for businesses or residents with CCTV of the incident to get in touch.

They also asked for anyone who saw the collision, or who saw any of the events leading up to it, to call Cardiff CID.

Were Cardiff playing Blackpool, or is it simply the cabby was worried the Network Rail maintainence guys were going to disrupt the train service so he ploughed em so the trains wouldn't stop running.

This whole thing is utter stupidity what on earth was the driver thinking ! very fortunate that he didn't kill someone

But I am wondering why everyone is trying to distance themselves from this there are a lot of denials being issued to the press was the taxi attacked first and if so I suspect that whoever employed them has a few questions to answer too !!
