A Stamford taxi driver is tonight in police custody after knocking a 17 year old off his motorbike on the A1 last night. The motorcyclist died at the scene with the A1 remaining closed untill late this afternoon whilst police carried out their investigations.

The driver in question is well known for being a bit of a speed merchant and had earlier this year put a jaguar car on the road as a taxi which was the vehicle he was driving at the time. Unconfirmed reports suggest the taxi was travelling at over 100mph at the time of the accident

Very sad indeed.

I look forward to see the actual facts, and if the driver is at fault then he will get his just deserts.

If not in this world then the next.

Well tonight the driver has been released from custody and has been spotted out driving a taxi !!

P. S. this is the same driver that has been getting away with rank jumping and running dirty tricks campaigns against me and other drivers who have dared to stand up to him

And if anyone is travelling southbound down the A1 check out the skidmarks on the straight between woolfox and the bloody oaks services it might give you an idea about just how fast he was going at the time !

Update

The driver has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving

Initial reports were wrong though the victim was a Brazillian national living in london in his 50's not a local 17 year old

there was also a lorry and a car involved both of whom allegedly didn't see the motorcyclist however the rumour circulating is that the car was overtaking the lorry and the taxi ( the driver claims to have only been doing 85mph) used a sliproad to UNDERTAKE both vehicles

Well his trial started today and his mistress/business partner is also being charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice after lying about him having a mobile phone in the car with him at the time

oops didn't she realise that the police can check mobile phone records

well he's got away with it for now the " star witness" for the prosecution was the driver of the other car which he was racing at the time and he's done a runner !

Trial collapsed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! although i believe that technically it has been adjourned until january but as the main witness who had done a deal with the police to testify for the prosecution in exchange for immunity from prosecution has dissapeared it sounds like he has got away with it
