I can't imagine any street car in Edinburgh not taking up the app and as for the Ph a lot of them are desperate for an alternative to the radio dues they are being charged. I can see how Uber would destabilise the taxi/ph trade in a City without even trying.

Apps are really taking off and the days of trying to get through on the phone, especially at peak times, is becoming a thing of the past and like you say "all those large fares" it's got to hurt...

Interesting they apply for a booking office licence but don't offer customer support, an option to cancel a booking or ask where is my taxi Seems if you have a concern or complaint you don't have any options as a customer, a breach of their human rights maybe, ok consumer rights

With a radio company like mine, customers have back up, Uber from a customers point of view is a nightmare

How can anyone promote this is beyond me
