Yet again I have had a good night thanks to get taxi and not city , I even got a job whilst on the feeder no more waiting for me stuff being 35th on a rank when get taxi offers me a job , didn't need to bid seems I'm a premier Cab been rated 5 stars by customers so now I get some lucrative work therefore increasing my earning potential happy days .

I'm absolutely beginning to love your smoke and dagger approach TRTD. You're a good sport obviously so I know TRTD , my friend, you're going to love this game.......

Now I'm sure most members of both companies surely would agree any member signing up to the apps is fundamentally detrimental to both companies.

Now the game......

If you're stuck on the feeder as TRTD hints at then why not download the Getaxi app to see how wonderful it is. You can order a cab and it gives you a picture of the cabbie arriving and then you can cancel the cab just so we can all see how it works, allegedly

It's important to understand our competition and who are rivals are.

What a great idea Artur. My grandson has informed me that you could screenshot the page showing the drivers details and if a member or driver with your Radio Company, Adios. Get all your friends and family to downloading the app and book and cancel and let's see who's using it. Excellent Artur.

They won't but you'll still be on here spouting your negative bile. The Getaxi sign up day was a disaster. You're worried, its now a slow burn not a wipeout. You're stuck on a loop.

Skull I would like to ask you a question and would like you to answer it honestly!

What finally pushed you over the edge with the taxi trade?

You can't honestly believe that Edinburgh is going to get a free pass? #-o #-o #-o #-o #-o These multi-national corporations could buy Edinburgh. It's silly to think you are even in the game. #-o #-o #-o #-o

I've given you 3-5 years and it's game over for City and CRT. However, it's taken only five years for GET TAXI and UBER to get this far and that's scary. I would be surprise me if it took two years. It really comes down to how much money they wish to throw at the problem. =D> =D> =D> =D>

Honestly, I couldn't take it any-more. The hours, the people, the council, the committees, the stupidity, you name it. I felt like a rat on a fu*king wheel. I wanted out with no way back. :-| To me driving a taxi was not living, it was surviving, like a rat in a rat race.

Oh and I am being honest, six months to a year after getting out, I used to wake-up having nightmares that I was still driving a taxi. Scary!!

I think if you are ignorant and one of the the sheeple and you don't really know any better then it's the job for you. :-| Oh and I can see why these committees rip the pi** out of their members but for me, it was like One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

Kaizer, that's the truth....

Serious questions for Artur and Molsy and Kaiser and Reggie et al.

What for you is the problem with the Taxi trade using apps for work?

What does your radio company give you that apps can't?

And

Hypothetically if apps were to make radios obsolete what kind of app would you work with.

Is there a similar marketplace anywhere like Edinburgh where nearly 900 Black Cabs are members of Two co-operatives, with a market share between them of around 70%? That's a significant share of the market in my book.

If so where and has Get Taxi and Uber managed to wipe that significance out?

I can't find a City in the UK with a similar market place like Edinburgh, I'm up for being proved wrong and the questions are open to anyone.

I say Edinburgh is new ground for Get Taxi and Uber, I don't think they will last, Uber will fail on the regulation of the cab trade and Get Taxi will fail to become as reliable as the Two main players, being co-operatives will ensure this, Members are shareholders unlike circuits such as ComCabs, ECPH and many companies throughout the UK. We, nearly 900 members will roll our sleeves up and be up for the battle, where there's the will there will always be a Way.

Again prove me wrong, with Facts of course

They see the Company and the little badge as a form of identity because without it, they don't have any identity of their own. :-|

C'mon Reggie you can do better.

Your app is not yours it is of the shelf and rented to you for use.

If we accept the point that Edinburgh is unique with two powerful co-ops to prevent drivers using apps.

But just for talking sake if all the other towns and cities in uk buckle and hence no longer a market for the app except in Edinburgh. The big fish in the small pond will not be sufficient to sustain and develop it.

Edinburgh isn't even the biggest city in the nation state it serves as Capital. In today's ever decreasing world it is no more than a big toon on the edge of civilisation.

You need an app in our hypothetical world ! So blank canvas what do you look for in your ideal of app?

Cab Happy seriously, an App is an App, the one we use is sufficent, easy to use just like any other, easy to sign up to, not like any other, Cmon unless you know of a magic App that's uniquely different

Kaizer Soze again what hatred have I shown towards Les , it is only my opinion of the way he operates not fuelled by hatred at all . You must be ( Skulls terminology ) one of the sheeple who follow the shepherd , I myself will continue to do what I want when I want to expand and encourage the growth of my earning potential , you sir can run along and keep kissing the shepherds butt .

I am told by the owner to abide by the City Cabs rules and bylaws if I want to drive for City Cabs. So because I do and have abided by the rules for my time with City Cabs I can kiss the shepherds butt. What a brilliant philosophy. Let's look at your working practices TRTD. You are an owner with City and have signed a contract stipulating you will abide by the same rules. You now choose to take work from an outside app provider and whilst doing these jobs Mrs Jones can't get her taxi because although your in the area you busy with Get Taxi. Mrs Jones now waits 35 minutes for a Taxi, phones CRT and never uses City again. So what you are doing TRTD is jeopardising every City Cab member and drivers earnings. Way to go.

Question TRTD. If simultaneously you were offered a job by City Cabs and Get Taxi, which one would you do?

Are you sure the TRTD doesn't stand for The Real Taxi Donkey??
[color=#0000FF]

The answer is obvious the City cab job as you pay for it up front, however there is the other situation which is a conflict of interest. It is pouring down with rain and a wee old woman puts her hand out as you are offered a job on your City cab system....what do you do ??????

Rules and regulation are a part of life, but to pay 7k to abide by that system with no return guaranteed will always be a risk. Looking at it from the outside I would say the street is winning so far and without it we would be struggling.
As for the Edinburgh taxi companies competing against the app company I think all will be revealed very soon, where the money is the drivers will go. [/c
