Thank you. It gives me great pleasure to accept this very prestigious award.

I thank Chipper (turns to Chipper and smiles) for his generous recogition of my achievements and the real value he has placed on my efforts.

This award doesn't belong to me alone and I would like to thank all those who have supported me in my work.

In particular I thank the Skull, who has taken deslyxia to a menacing new level, his outstanding knowldge of strategy and for his erudite support throughout the campaign.

I thank the City of Edinburgh Council, particularly Colin Keir and Jim Inch, without whose dogmatic slavery to abusing government power and protecting vested interest this campaign would not be possible and this prestigious award not merited.

(Cllr Keir deserves a special mention for his surprising (stupid) claim that the assaults and rapes over recent times have nothing to do with the victims' inability to hail a cab because of his artificial restriction of taxis. I urge all to remember him when the next such incident, or murder happens.)

I thank the Edinburgh Taxi trade for placing their greed, self interest and stiffing of taxi drivers before the needs of customers, without which I would never have gained the focus to wage the campaign.

But most of all I thank those who actually do the work in the taxi trade, the bewildered herd, without whose fore-lock tugging servility to an unjust council and owner controlled trade all of my efforts would be unneccessary, denying me this fine award.

Finally, this important award has served to show me that the campaign is widely recognised for being vital to the general good of those who work in the trade, who are encouraged to risk thier family silver to engage in a pyramid buying/selling scheme for taxi plates they can never own if they want to secure their employment, and are being ripped off.

It also reassures me that the campaign must continue until full victory is achieved.

I thank the Chipper organisation for revitalising and encouraging me in my campaign.

I will always cherish this award.

Chipper is a bonnie bird
He flits from bough to bough.
He makes his nest in the taxi tree
And whistles like a cow.

With his taxi licence, he stands proud and erect
As upright, strong and tall as a steeple.
He needs his utterings to bring him respect
From the bewildered herd and the sheeple.

However, with both the Skull and Jasbar
With whom he's tried to cross swords.
We all know he won't get too far
