in Ireland, in one case, a pipe was laid from the ROI across the border (a few hundred yards) into another building and the (then) cheaper ROI-derv was being pumped through and sold cheap...

All diesel sold at the pumps contains kerosene (more so in winter) in the blend BUT it has lower energy rating than the gas oil cuts blended with it so running your engine on kerosine will give a much lower MPG
