Well, that's the letter off to the council, strange I've had a few read receipts but no invite to come before the RC, to discuss matters further.

I suppose there is still time.

Toots, you liked my letter to the council. I think, because of the humour but did you consider the underlying message to be true?

Did humour make the truth more palatable?

This isn't a trick question or a trap of any kind. I am genuinely curious. :-|

I just liked the humour in it tbh. It has nothing at all to do with making the truth more palatable, the truth is never a problem for me. I never disagreed that you were treated unfairly I just thought you didn't deal with the situation in the best way, but, that was only my opinion and of course your actions are your business

You don't disagree that I was treated unfairly. However, I think you would agree, that how I dealt with the situation compromised any fair treatment, I might have expected.

How do you reconcile the two?

I'm not trying to trick you Toots, your answer was honest.

I'm past trying to reconcile things that don't. You knew what would happen depending on what path you took and made your decision based on that. I make a lot of compromises and there are some things I won't compromise on, probably the same as everybody does. It's just a matter of what you are prepared to accept and what you are not prepared to accept and then there is the I'll accept for now, but, I will make noises to have it changed in the future

So to be fair, I was treaded unfairly by unfair system operated by people less than fair, that had no interest in being fair, unless I was prepared to compromise by kissing ar*e.

In all honesty, fairness never really came into it.

Fair :-|

I think humour makes the truth less contentious and more acceptable. That's not to say you don't know what the truth is in the first place, but it takes the debate out of it.

Does anyone have the email address for the Edinburgh Cab Office, in particular, Frank Smith's email address?

I would hate to think he missed out.

I got a phone call today from someone in the council who seen my letter before it went out. He told me that these councillors think they are wonderful and the one thing they hate is having the pi*s ripped out of them, especially in the way I wrote the letter. The council staff thinks they are a bunch of monkeys and just love to have a laugh at their expense.

I needed Frank Smith's email address at the cab office as he was the only one to miss out.

I think it's mission accomplished.
