I don't think there's any marginal about it, marginal wouldn't get you a ticket, when the camera is active is when the light is against you, like that nasty one down near Arundel, you do know Arundel don't you Dusty, hehehehehe.

How do you know it was a camera?

And if it's all so clear cut how can the Arundel camera be 'nasty'?

Cos the Arundel one trips and gets you even if you just rolled the front wheels onto the sensor, look it up on Google Earth, the camera is to the rear of you when you stop, so should you roll onto the line you are nicked as Mr Regan used to say.

So if the Southampton cabbie was caught out here - or at a similar camera - then you'd have some sympathy because it's, er, "nasty"?

You seem to be contradicting what you said earlier?

I have sympathy for any motorist getting caught, but not one who you can see like a beacon at midnight is just a disregarding selfish ass who thinks chasing the quid is more important that road safety, if you want to swallow that plastic 999 story about rushing to the maternity unit then go ahead, but I don't buy it at all, it's the typical first line of bullshit excuse.

So if you forget your satnav speed camera updates and thus forget to slow down for the cameras when you're speeding, or get 'caught out' by that nasty red-light camera then don't expect any sympathy from me [-(

Well you certainly aren't mature in the head, naive maybe but not mature, your postings show that, especially when you add your favorite not talking icon to the end of them

You mean like this one: [-(

As for my immaturity/naivety or whatever [-( , when I started in the trade 15 years ago my first experience was with a lazy, useless owner who had paid jack for a plate in a restricted area but who sat around while several drivers - I was never actually sure how many there were on the car I was driving - made his living for him.

So my views were essentially formed in the first week.

15 years later and they haven't changed one iota

I'm just a bit more certain about them than I was then :D

Thank you, proves my point, an owner who got a free plate who then didn't drive, so what you say is that unresticted plate issue means more barons be it a solo one or a magnate one?

So having a price on a plate actually may help keep those types away then?

I dunno why I'm answering you, you don't exist, you aren't real, you're the imagination of a skitzo multi persona internet user. :-#

I'll let you figure out the obvious error in that statement yourself.

Sorry, forgot to state the most important point - it was a restricted area. :-|

(The original post has been amended to reflect that.)

Can't really see it making much difference, except for the fact that the restriction made it easier for him to hire drivers, although he was still moaning about a 'shortage'

1 - You can amend but I can only reply to what I see at the time

2 - It's never hard to get drivers, you just place an add

3 - GOD mate G.O.D

The fact you have to change what you wrote says it all, fake man with an agenda for himself, or am I supposed to guess what you really wanted to say, do you go to Ladbrokes on Monday and say, I meant Liverpool to lose 2-0 even though you placed on Saturday for them to win 1-0, don't try to play with me you idiot, I'm way superior to anything you can ever wish to be.

Bullocks. See my new post in the General issues section for an example.

Dear oh dear. I simply omitted to say that the area was restricted, but that could have just about been worked out from the context of our discussions, and in any case as I said subsequently it doesn't make a whole lot of difference. It just shows that the props find it easier to get drivers with restricted vehicle numbers than without.

But the fact you're making such a song and dance about it just shows how desperate you are for a counter-argument. Clutching at straws or wot?

I made a minor but honest mistake, and held my hands up - which I suspect is more than you've ever had the backbone to do - yet you pounce on it like it's the TDO equivalent of Blair's dodgy dossier, or whatever.

If you say so. :D

More drivel and lies from you.

If anyone is on the run it's you, you're not getting it all your own way here anymore and when the commission looks into the real problems and realises that over supply is bad overall and sets the new rules for the next 100 years you and your advocates will have to shut up once and for all.

You are actually stupid enough to think they are going to say what you want to hear, do you think qualified people will be stupid enough to say lets have unlimited licenses in an area with 50 rank spaces, it's all over the news how over ranking is causing problems and pollution, if anything they will recommend a reduction policy to get things back to a sensible level in affected areas, if that means non transferrable plates then so be it, but there is no way anyone with a brain is going to make it so the numbers increase, if anything they need to look at the abusive policy of PH and make them justify the amount of cars they employ, and insist on a sensible level radio charge maximum because £100+ pw is simply theft.

Why? I know the LC won't listen to the likes of what I say, but I'm still entitled to have my say, and your own abuse certainly encourages me rather than puts me off.

Can't see that happening somehow, but I'm not hugely worried about what the LC says, because for one it won't make a lot of difference to me, and secondly I'm more concerned about exposing the shambles of taxi regulation rather than bringing the likes of yourself back down to earth by seeing your so-called 'investment' in a 'business' come crashing down around you. :-|

Despite the abuse from the likes of yourself and Mr T part of me would be happy to see the status quo prevail.

I'm not the type to enjoy seeing anyone kicked back down to size, even the arrogant and self-serving with a hugely exaggerated idea of their own self-importance :-|
