Well, one's got to cover oneself, can't go accusing people of theft in Open Forum! can one.

But all our local Members will know whom I'm talking about.

Funny one this.

I mean, the culprit could have caused a lot more damage with a lot less risk to himself. You could put a nasty gouge in a car more quickly and with less noise than it takes to remove a set of wheel trims.

So the numpty isn't quite as bad as he could have been or the trims were actually stolen by someone else?

Around here it would have been worse to just take one trim. The reason being that the council will take a car off the road for having one trim missing but not if it has no trims at all.

Wouldnt it be prudent in that scenario just to remove the remaining three trims and keep on working #-o

The sensible driver would, but there are some who have not got any sense.

Indeed it would, which is why some taxi drivers don't bother with wheel trims at all and just drive around with the ugly standard steel wheels; no trims at all and you're OK, one trim missing and you could be stopped.

I don't notice that so much these days, perhaps because a lot more cars have alloys as standard these days.
