So it wouldn't bother you if it were a Hackney driver?

And it bothers me as well if they are P/Hire they should say so, Hackney (Taxi) get a bad press in there own right we dont need Bad prees over P/hire as well. P/hire are not Taxis (well not yet)

It doesn't seem to bother either of you that someone has been raped. It is only the reporting of the incident that bothers you. You should both be ashamed of yourselves.

Yes, it's important we know whether the driver was HC or PH, or perhaps dual-badged but happened to be driving a PH that night.

And I'm sure the victim's friends - who when she was off her face on drink and drugs and "unable to walk properly and was falling over" stuck her in a taxi - will be resassured when this detail is clarified and thus will know how to avoid their friends getting raped in future.

And indeed many HC circuits in the UK have a few PH working for them.

So when does an HC circuit become a PH circuit and vice versa?

If they take phone bookings, then they are a private hire firm. :D

Outside London I think the vast majority do take phone bookings.
