Could this mean that the Law Commission may have to consider the implications - of the questions - of the answers?

Might put another delay on things - possibly?

Captain Cab Sir!

Are you then advocating that we all join the Parliamentary Cycling Group instead of these spurious national taxi and private hire bodies?

That could decimate the trade particularly the PH trade although i suspect there will be ways found around it

which trade would it decimate? not mine, it would have the effect of PH having to charge proper prices.

It would probably mean an end to split purse deals but all that would happen is the drivers would then rent a car off the big companies its the little operators who cover their car costs with a second driver that would suffer and the firms that operate on percentage/split purse deals

In respect of PH perhaps....I dont think so in the case of HC.

I'm not so sure.

For PH drivers there maybe incentives along the lines of wage plus %, and for taxis it might not apply as the driver can do work off the radio, either via the rank/path or his own phone.

thats my understanding of it too, theres no master servant relationship in respect of the work the driver does.

It would be far better if any owner of a PH or hack vehicle, who requires a driver, employee's that driver.
No more split bags or vehicle rentals.
Drivers across the UK have being taken for a ride for far to long
