Hello Doom, WTF are you going on about now?

We defend ourselves just fine thanks, hence we do just . . . fine.

As for the Olymics, I'm away on holiday.

I'm under the illusion that while the games are on black cabs are doubling the fares?

If this is the case I think it's a dumb move, you would do ok anyway, but instead all you are going to do is have it off for 8 weeks and then be resented for many years to come, not to mention the lads who go to Tiger every weekend and happily pay their £15 fare who once a few are down the neck will be boot testing when asked for £30.

Sorry doom, but you're being fed duff information.

For starters we can't 'double' any fare, rate three is the highest tariff, and that's only a few percent over the bottom rate one.

It was SUGGESTED by the LTDA to have rate three during the games to encourage more cab drivers to work, as it would seem, as with me, most of are getting out of town for the duration of the games, as London will just be in chaos.
NORMAL rates will apply, but I just know which side of the industry will double or treble their fares when the opportunity arrives . . .

I'm not working even for rate 23.5, not for me.

I don't think we will be resented by London residents who are the mainstay of my business, as most of them are fecking off as well.

Visitors? They're just that, how many will ever return to London to spend their hard earned in the future? Other Olympic hosts claim almost none! So I'll miss them . . Not.

The tickets for the games all come with public transport access included.

TFL had their chance to include the London licensed cab , but chose to restrict it to advertising roles.

So . . Basically . . I'm off!
