It's all about money. If they went back to the Dereg Act Section 55 and corrected the wording they would go back to where they were before, everyone working out of their own areas. But is that likely to happen? No. Why? because licencing and enforcement officers want to become a national section run by the government and not councils,which would in turn give them a bigger national salary and pension than what they get off their councils now. So could they sort it out now? Yes but they won't because it doesn't put money in their pockets, and obviously the big ph companies are happy with the situation as it is now.

I do get it, and despite what you say (and I'm not disagreeing with what you say) you will be collateral damage as the problems you outline are not safety problems, they are commercial problems.

The cross border rule is a safety issue that needs sorting.



But NOT at the expense of the consumer which would be against existing legislation
