Going back to the origanl story it could be a case of SLEEP APNOEA how many drivers suffer withpot even knowing it :?:

lol ten years was just talking point. Thats why I added the longer or shorter reference?

There bound to be some, but just because you are awake doesn't (IMO) always make you safe to drive. :?

I was just clarifiying what you meant by a probationary period rather than questioning the length of the period per se, but sounds like a good idea :)
