This reminds me of an incident with a firm I worked for 15 years ago when a car went out to a local village to pick up a driver and bring him in to work but a fare from just round the corner came in so the driver went in the boot and the car picked up the fare. On the way in the passengers wondered what all the strange banging and other noises were !!!

That car wasn't stopped by the police or anything though !

On a more serious note though it used to be quite common for passengers to ask local saloon car taxis to carry more than 4 often with the suggestion that one goes on the floor or in the boot and always with the promise of extra cash these days there are so many taxis and plenty of 6/7/8 seaters that people don't need to ask

I'm assuming this is the same lad, but if it is, then it's fair to say being robbed at gun-point, blackmailed and losing your license all in the same year, clearly indicates your middle name ain't lucky. :?

Five years for scumbag

Well its possible there's another cabby in carlisle with the same name but it sounds like he's having quite an eventful year.

having a gun put to your head is a very frightening experience it happened to me 18 years ago ( I was managing off licenses then) and it is not something i would want to happen again. I'm glad they got the pillock and locked him away
