the composition of this committee as i understand it, was due to the following absentees.....northern region rep still at his holiday apartment
in spain, and the manchester rep, having to suddenly attend another urgent!meeting
given that the notice of some.....10 weeks since they attended the previous meeting, where i presume that they were agreed on the date set for january and the election....no other candidates were available for election and so the democratic process was continued

When it's in your favour, there is nothing wrong with a bit of bias.

They did indeed, but it's their money and they can do what they like with it.

Three men in the backroom of a pub planning to take over the country [/quote]

In a phone box more likely. Would they allow them in a pub.
I wonder if it was that phone box that I came across the other day. There were three people in it and I thought that they were up to no good.

I wouldn’t let it get to you MrBB, the GMB will never have anything to do with the real London taxi trade.

Let’s face reality, after all the fancy titles of Branch Secretary, Honary president, vice chief blah blah. . . . What are you left with in London?

One ex, and one politically blinded Minicab driver.

Smashing. :D

You may well be right mate, but if the members are thick enough to let people abuse their money, then they get what they deserve.

As for Peter Hain, well if he is found to have been knowingly dodgy, then he will get what he deserves. But one of the last things he did, in Work and Pensions, was to get pensions (albeit via the tax-payer) for those folks swindled by many a big business.

And in that respect it's a shame we don't have a few more politicians like Mr Hain.

I find it very hard to believe you where a rep for 7 minutes, let alone 7 years. If you had been, you would know that GMB members pay into a voluntary polital fund. That money is used by elected representaives. The only thing crap is most of what you post.
