There will be another campaign along shortly that the GMB can ride piggyback on, then attempt to convince their 43 members that they're getting value for money.

The lack of Police comes down to your wonderful GMB sponsored Government who have attacked them at every possible opportunity.

Horses and stable doors come to mind.

Perhaps one day folks will wake up to the fact the scum now outnumber the authorities by many dozens to one.

Is'nt it marvellous having such a vibrant economy where everyone is making a bomb, but the reality is that you can't walk out of your own front door without being robbed by a foreign or home grown scumbag.

What makes our industry any different to shop keepers, lorry drivers, train staff, firefighters, ambulance workers etc etc and etc?

Is'nt it interesting how everyone want's more action, but if they witness a crime in the street they run the other way, refuse to give evidence, and become part of the lilly livered club, yet it's them same folks who go bleating in the newspapers and on telly every time they become the victim?
Britain gets the Policing they deserve.

Where's the magical Police squad going to come from to specialy assist our industry?

Just accept it, they've run out of Police after 7pm most days of the week, and it's only going to get worse. There are NO prison places left.

Professional drivers branch... I am afraid I don't see anything professional about them... the first thing any driver is taught in Sefton or Liverpool is that you do not keep large amounts of money on you... three days' takings... unreal....

Losing 3 days takings?=his own fault, should not have that much money on him.
I was sorry to hear terry call the police racists, not really the way to get them on side. He also said they have been racists for hundreds of years!.
You may remember a couple of years ago when my people carrier got smashed into at 3am by a drink driver, it took the police over 2 hours to get there, they were very sorry it took so long but in london its mental all night long.
But credit where its due, at least terry managed to get the problems faced by mini cab drivers on the telly.
Just a footnote, the problem with big cab companies with lots of telephonists is that they take any job, thats why we need office staff that know what thier doing.

The bit I found confusing... was when he stated that the G M.B drivers were ashamed to admit that they were private hire drivers.... and wonder if the same applies in Brighton and Hove... :oops:

Or is the truth really... that they are ashamed to be represented by him.. :roll:
