I have strong feelings about the current situation, i just cant believe that an international airport could get itelf in to such an embarrasing position with is taxis, Arroww have a strict dress code: smart black trousers and shoues white shirtand tie and even company blazer, yet if tyoutr a black cab driver you can wear just about anything, baseball caps, trainers football shirts, and those asian gowns, ridiculous in my opinion
. I agree with you whoever you are !!

That's because what Mr C(ab) Wright, our regular taxi travelling punter, really wants is a 19 year-old, mini-skirted, major-cleavage-revealing, leg-up to-her-ar*e, doll of a female driver to transport him in a Mercedes 600 series, or the like, at £1 a mile!!

Should be interesting, bearing in mind the last few PH companies that have tried operating at MCR Airport have fallen on their backsides.

Aint been following the thread, are the PHV's going to be operating with MCR licensed vehicles?

At the time I could have qualified for the job (at 19) I could have also done it for £1.00 per mile quite easily

I'm not saying that cwright is lying, but, I would have preferred that if he is he came on here telling the truth of why he was interested in Manchester Airport and giving an honest account of what he believes. From all aspects of this trade be it the driver, the license holder (who may rent out) or the operator companies I find that the operator companies are the greediest of all leeches. I've yet to find one that actually does anything for the drivers that pay for their existence as an operator and I suspect (but could wrong) that cwright falls into this catagory

I am just a customer who uses taxis alot who is fed up with the current set up, if you dont believe what im saying get down to manchester airport and have a look for yourselves.

Been at the airport today and seen alot of activity with the set up of the new booking offices right outside the terminal entrances, they look very striking and professional, just goes to show that what i originally thought was going to be the case is that this new firm appears to be putting mega investment in to this new set up. they obviously mean serious business.

I think this will go down very well with the travelling public who travel to and from manchester airport.

If you dont believe what i am saying then time will tell. Lets face it they will be up and running in just over one weeks time.
