I'm not in the least concerned about the persons origin but what I am concerned about is the accuracy of a certain list of plate values. An S reg metro can be bought for five grand, an S reg TX1 can be bought for between 8,500 and 9k. Now someone paying in the region of 45 grand for a cab and plate suggests to me that the value on the plate was established to be in the region of 35k.

But the newer types of survey now include plate values. So their might be mile long queues of cabs at ranks, but if the plate value is high, which I believe yours is, then the surveyors will deem SUD.

My point is not about individuals. My point specificaly concerns what value is placed on a plate in those authorities that I have personally researched. The reason I specifically asked how many Asian owners are there in Trafford is because most people who actually drive cabs in Trafford will most likely know that there are exactly two out of 103 owners. It was significant that the likes of shirelybut didn't know the answer to that question and he or she didn't know that one of the last cab and plates to change hands went for over 40 grand. So you can see why I am a little sceptical of people who proffess to be Trafford Cabbies and know all about the Trafford Taxi game yet they don't even know of the highest plate transaction that has taken place in Trafford in the last five years or more.

To be fair no one has said there is an unmet demand in Trafford. What actually happened in Trafford is that the council failed to measure demand. Why they did not measure demand is not for me to say but it is incumbant on the local Taxi trade to make sure the council is aware of the law. You might wish to look closer to home at your own local TOA for those particular answers. However this site has never hidden the fact that Trafford and many other authorities are outside the law. Therefore if you had come to this website many months ago you would have perhaps known Traffords vulnerability.

I have previously stated on many occasions this website reports the facts we dont hide them, they are there for everyone to see. If you don't wish to make use of them then that is entirely the individuals perogative.

Actually they are not his yet he doesnt own them TMBC do unless he can get the decision over-ruled about the 12mths so no he cant do with them what he dam well likes otherwise so could the other 103
