Isn't it a pity that you appear not to see beyond the end of your nose, which leaves you little to compute when forming your opinion? Manic myopia is no credential to promulgate your views.

I take it you are a socialist!!! I'm not Smile

This is your next difficulty Dougie. You seem to only function by putting things into pigeon holes. It's seldom that simple.

Socialism has at least two major failings.

First it requires a belief in Humans to behave responsibly and pre-supposes that to be a socialist you have to like humankind without exception, seeing only the best in people. Being a glass half empty kind of guy, with nary 60 years life experience to draw on, I manifestly fail in this regard.

Socialism's second major failing is that it believes that the new order can be evolved from the existing system. This iappears patently absurd, because the control mechanisms in place will not allow it.

Yet, if it didn't happen through consensus, the result wouldn't be worth having.

The current order is so sophisticated that it has successfully emasculated free thinking in the bewildered herd it has created. And that's you and your ilk. You wouldn't recognise a good idea if it hit you in the face, because you are too busy protecting those who control you, in turn because you feel comfort in the lowly status they bestow on you. This mentaility is what brought Adolf to power. And we know where that led.

In our case, election to the council wouldn't change the council. The control mechanism would nullify us, that is Jim Inch's job. We have two taxi drivers as councillors. They are ineffective to change taxi matters.

The political system, claiming democracy, simply doesn't work. As things stand personal political careers have a higher imperative than political achievement in the common interest.

Or rather it does work in serving to maintain the status quo and protect the existing control mechnisms in favour of those who exercise power, and always have.

So you're way off the mark believing me to be a socialist. Which you'd have already known if you had been paying attention.

If you think the system is an enemy then you are the one with problems, too many computer game syndrome i SUSPECT Laughing

I can't remember any political connotations playing Mahjong or tetris. Computer games, like drugs, alcohol and sport etc are just opiates of the masses. By providing access to these the system ensures that the real issues are ignored and the masters can get on unhindered with the job of real control.

This situation will prevail until the bewildered herd shake off their bewilderment and recognise what really matters in the social order. Google Noam Chomsky to unfetter your mind Dougie. Who knows it may not be too late for you.

I'm an individual who knows his significance (nil) I'm happy to be in control of my surroundings and my significance is within my inner circle, i'm happy to debate the current issue's, it's my right, WHO CARES WINS Wink

This just proves the system is working. You've accepted your lowly status as little more than an obedient, subservient unit of production. You'll die when your use has been fully expended, and to prove the system works, to your dying day you'll go out of your way to ensure that your kids and circle are equally as obedient as you have been.

You consider yourself a legend in your own mind, and you will encourage your friends to be the same. Like stepford citizens your inner circle will all be clones, your names ticked off in the system's social register as compliant automatons and uneccessary for concern.

Which is just as well, so that more time can be spent monitoring freethinkers like the Skull and I.

As for who cares wins, this is just borlocks. Because you clearly don't care and you're not going to win.

That says it all really

I'm content because i've got a life :D Your not content because you have nothing Jim(your words)

You are a radical, a loose canon, the minority, as far as debating the issue of de-restriction, 98% agree with me that we have controlled growth, 2% agree with you that we should flood the market, my view we have an exit strategy, your way way we have no exit strategy.

If you want to be a free thinker and believing Jock tamson's your father, you are one mother of a fecker who is fecked up and confused.

Jim everything has been thought up, freethinkers went out years ago unless your still smoking the funny stuff :?: Hey Hippy Jim

We live in a democracy where as individuals we are insignificant, who gives a feck if we are anyway, but we are not being denied our right to participate within the debate, if your view is constructive your view can influence the outcome of the debate, so far your view has not done that so your insignificant to the outcome of the debate, you have repeated the same old crap year in year out, it's boring Jim

Being within the 2% makes you out to the 98% a bit of an oddball, yes Jim we see you as an Intellegent oddball, a geek, a computer nerd, a pest, you are out of control, no one can stop you, good luck when one day you will wake up, not for me that kind of royal ed wake up call, I'M HAPPY BEING A COMFORMIST, now get that right into your SKULL.

98 % rule the other 2% are dreamers  The 2% are normally found in the royal edinburgh and written off by us comformist's

Around 120 people applied for a taxi licence. At a time of restriction and the certain knowledge that the council's policy was to refuse licnces.

And after 50 licences had already been refused peviously.

How many are waiting in the wings, waiting to see how the cookie will crumble.

Now your idiocy extends to simple arithmetic. According to you 100% would have to run into tens of thousands

And I'll bet that your 98% does not include the public, just the vested interest taxi owners.

As for your 98%. How many stood to the line with your quorum attempt?

Did anyone?

You stuck your head so far above the parapet you got your b*lls shot off.

Not close and defo no cigar.

Dougie. You're just perceived as a joke. Your value to us is a distraction, entertainment. But it is getting wearing.

Anyone with half a wit would realise they are being ridiculed. Curiously your ridicule threshold is so high your zest for masochism is now embarrassing.

If you need to hide behind a computer and play beating the system then that's your game not mine  Now my perception of guy's like you is that you are sad and lonely, yes you have beat the system and you got a massive orgasm from that fact but AliT you are the one living in the bubble mate, you will alway's get off on the fact you beat the system WOOO

Who gives a feck, no one control's me, i'm free to do what the feck i like, no need for re-programming, happy to play the game fairly and without discrimination :D

well since you've started the insults Dougie i might as well put it to you how it is
if your that happy living within the rules then why join city cabs why try to start a quorum, when it didnt go your way
i didn't beat the system Dougie, you've got that all wrong.as per usual
it was the council who where running and still do run there own version of the system with little regard for the rules of that system.

Dougie far from being sad and lonely, ive just sold my plates so im very happy as it goes   .
lonely!me? this is where your programing comes in,putting everything in pigeon holes, have you ever had a thought of your own that wasnt simply a clone of what was done before by other failures.
every things Grey Dougie, not black and white

Dougie you are not free to do as you please no one really is.
some are free to think for themselves, and thats sometimes a painfull process,a pain that you will never have to endure.

your to stupid to question what you've been told.
happy and secure in what you've been given by your betters,to scared to even question if there is a better way,to lazy to move out of your comfort zone.
happy in the middle of the flock.baa baa
oh and btw your arguments are all over the place and make no sense what so ever , coupled with that nervous rocking from foot when your talking to people is a sure sign of something not quite computing in your head.

maybe you've questioned your own blinkered view of the world ?? and its causing a slight short circuit .

Jim 98% of the trade we work in is happy and willing to work with regulation and controlled growth :D

If your ambition is to beat the system you are taking your time YAWN, Your IDOL AliT has done it to be fair but You following in his footsteps!!! If that is your ambition you are one sad mother fecker

Taking on the Quorum was put to me by a large number of non voters who recognise my passion for the Trade, i put my hands up right away to lead a quorum but inside i knew it was out of my league, the only reason i never pursued the idea was through my own choice, i was offered help from older City Cabbers but as i did put my hands down because of lack of knowledge i'm leaving the quorum idea to someone else with more experiance.

I can admit when i'm wrong or something is to big for me, can you :?:

Now away and have a wet dream about your idols achievments
