I cant apologise enough to TDO members, I genuinely thought we'd all have a little insight into what Gary and Jim had in store for the taxi trade.

Instead we were selected to the usual unanswered questions, because these two have no answers and in actual fact are nothing more than a couple of keyboard warriors, with possibly sadly small penises (typo?).

There claim to represent the trade, but that's only a quarter of the amount to which they wish to represent themselves.

Their silence says more than these words.

If imagine the general opinion is if your selling a plate when your leaving the trade is fine

If your selling it for sheer profiteering then try to acquire another for profit then your an a*se hole

How about if you just aquire one to sell, without previously holding one? Are they also a*seholes?

Roughly what percentage of the applicants from the IPL who recently got granted a plate would you say are a*seholes?

Bottom up systems of representation democratically elect members from the body of the Kirk, one might say, to fixed term committee positions of not more than a few years. Their authoritarian structure means they have to justify themselves to their members, the burden of proof lies with those representatives to prove they are acting in their member interests.

After a fixed period in office, those elected then return to their previous jobs, having been compensated for the work they have carried out.

A system like the one described above not only ensures democracy but continuity of representation in serving the members' interests first. Elected officials are not only responsible to their members, but they are accountable also.

I can't find anything on the website about the political processes or structure of the NTA, would you care to explain, CC?

Do you have elections? What's your committee structure? How do members communicate with those claiming to represent them? Where's the accountability to its members?

"The National Taxi Association is funded entirely from subscriptions."

Sounds like jobs for the boys.

The directors of the NTA are elected via regional associations, the chair and vice chair are elected by directors.

The constitution and articles of association are available to all members.

The NTA is a non political and religous body with no political leanings.

Now I've answered your questions, could you answer mine.....you've had 24hrs.

I take it you missed this bit from the website Gary?

The National Taxi Association is affiliated to no political, religious or other grouping and includes within its Membership operators from all political parties and other sections.

But please feel free to answer my questions anytime you want.

What you really mean is that you have no formal Elections. “Regional Associations” does this mean no real voting process, only the assumed support of members affiliated to companies run by committees, a bit like Central Radio Taxis and City Cabs?

Your NTA, is it similar to the Scottish Taxi Federation?

Is this another top down authoritarian system supported by the bewildered herd, that only serves to give guys like you a job?

The NTA is about guys like you CC, helping yourselves.
