its all been done before

Ha ha!! Aye jasbar and skull don't do repetition!

I bet even the skull reads your comments and thinks...thanks Ali but no thanks.

btw im not trying to back anyone up
most people don't need that, garry and jim certainly dont need any help from me. you two on the other hand  .
im just giving my opinion on what i see and its pathetic, and it turns my stomach.

Fair play to you Ali! It's admirable for you to come on and say how you feel.
I think you take this all too seriously. I've no idea who the people are you mention. I'm interested why you all treat these goons like gods?? We'll never agree Ali but in my opinion selling on free plates then telling everyone how the system should be changed and if you don't agree you're a moron is just nonsense.

actually you have the history the wrong wi round as far as plates are concerned
do you have your own plate ?
did you buy in ?
do you wish to sell it sometime in the future ?
as far as taking it seriosly ...far from it i like the skull had enough of it i to did not renew my license i saw no point i would never want to do the job again 19 years is enough, time to move on,plates are a different kettle of fish altogether though and i may even apply again and sell on ,it seems the council have no intention of conducting a full survey and are now wide open.
only real problem is the resell price is very low at £20k

glad youve no problem with buying and selling... that's nice
defo not wanting back in,truly the trade is goosed i know it and so do you.
tbh whats the problem if its opened up anyway, the timing now is perfect, and its probably the only slim chance of any kind of real fight back the trade will ever have against the ph.

I don't believe the trade is goosed but will agree you can only do it for so long.
How could you open it up without causing bitterness with folk who've invested in a plate. Now I know they'll say you don't own the plate the council does.

PH should have been controlled by the black cabs. In no other trade though would you have rivals bidding for contracts then calling for unity when one misses out.

Do you think Central and City missed a trick not merging?

ive got to say i don't think anyone in the trade can truly digest the truth.
they are to caught up in it.
sell up then you will see that its all the same stuff and you'll wonder why there is 2 tiers, anyway better to look forward than back in anger lol and thats the real problem people thinking there entitled, elite, worthy, fit and proper better than....i could go on

Sounds a bit Racist to me...shouldn't it have been "Drivers of Black Cabs"?

So, you and an 'O' grade in English are strangers then

Why are there so many people who brag about not being in the trade any more posting so much?

Why on earth would they care...and why do they keep asking the others to name themselves?

Maybe if everyone gave their height, weight, BMI and connections to tough guys we could cut through a lot of crap and form a hierarchy.

You're speaking in [edited by admin] riddles most of the time:?

...are any of you actually Edinburgh cab drivers?
