There are no such restrictions, if any of the other companies had done this do you think they would be complaining, what 203020 have done is a smart bit of business, what also is being missed is the fact 203020 is a mixed office.

As I have said before they should look at their own office's and ask what are you doing for the fees we pay!!!

I am astounded that these same guy's who hate either PH or just 203020 are happy to work alongside PH in their offices.

The real question that should be getting asked is why do we now have 205 Wheelchair Taxis in Dundee.
aye !! but how many r working oot o 203020 ???? they played a good game.. el bet there's good a poker player n that office !
got aw the disabled groops reps doon 2 the cooncil 2 plead the case o burstin the toon, put on aw the boilers 2 get the taxi card scheme....then get rid o them aw !!!

This latest Dundee saga reminds me of past taxi forums.

Even on some of the early basic ones we dealt with the Dundee situation.

Ahhhhh the memories. 8-[

Is the rank in operation at the times they are using this plot?
Up here we are not allowed to pick up (or stop) within 50 yards of a rank (during its period of operation if part time). Do you have a similar condition in Dundee?
I asked this earlier but got no reply. Can one of the Dundee guys respond please.

The conditions will have been given to you along with your cab licence

Taxis only queue up here when the clubs are open.

The PH enclosure will only really be relevant when the clubs are open.

I passed it tonight at about 11pm and the area was deserted apart from a couple of PH cars in the enclosure, and they will be waiting for phoned work rather than jobs from the club.

The rank and enclosure will only really become an issue later on at night when the club is in full swing.

Don't know exactly how the arrangement between the club and the PH firm works, but according to the stuff in the Evening Telegraph tonight it's all above board.

By the way, I would be careful what you say about the council on here.

The Lord Provost (like a Lord Mayor) is also chairman of the licensing committee.

An old soldier sent him an email saying that he was an "embarrassment" because he didn't observe the correct protocol when the Queen visited Dundee earlier this year.

So a police riot squad was sent round to tell the old soldier not to send any more emails ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

Aren't taxi plates yellow in Dundee?

So this is the bit that I can't understand:

Quote:
Taxi drivers throughout the city are furious with what they see as a flouting of the council’s private hire policy and have already threatened strike action over the granting of 71 yellow plate licences to the company recently.

I thought they lost the yellow plates rather than had them granted #-o

He's probably both - I don't think there's any reason why he can't be - indeed, I think it's quite common in owner-managed businesses.

the new 50 taxis is old news he ordered them after his company received the first 70 skodas and before he lost his yellow plates david young and his company love free publicity the facts and the truth is -
{fact}
1-his company has lost 70 public hire yellow plates.
2-the 50 new cars were allready on order.
3-he says by next year he will have a fleet of 250 cars.
4-is 203020 breaking any laws.
{truth}answers-
1-yes they have- they are all now white private hire cars.
2-yes he already was in agreement with norman fairweather motors.
3-where is all the work coming from and where is all the drivers coming from david youngs 203020 taxi company needs drivers-no drivers no company
4-yes probably- he always says hes proud of his drivers/staff and the sevice his company provides the man is only thinking about his own pocket not his drivers or staff hes the one smoking the best cigars driving around in the best cars with the money in his bank if theres any 203020 drivers looking at this {stop }paying £325 a week to davie young you can get a £200 nightshift deal with a good office. remember people and 203020 drivers davie young was about to sell 203020 at the start of this year to bruce linton 505050 taxis it all fell through .what does that tell you.
