Sorry Guzzie, I made an error earlier with my price of £290 from Edinburgh to Aberdeen. It's actually £312,

Where'd you get that shyte from?

The metered fare in an Aberdeen taxi would be around £255 but I'd be happy with £230 ish for it.
Must be good in Auld Reekie if they can turn down £230 for five hours.

unfortunately its not [edited by admin] but the book price is high so you have wiggle room ,the lesser spotted taxi driver cant do sums in there heads, and just say "country sheet say no"

Speak about pricing yourself out of the market.
That's far more than you could ever hope to make in the same time running around town.

PH don't have to undercut you, you're cutting your own throats. How do you greedy feckers justify charging that much?

Next time you go into Harvey Nichols to buy a pair of jeans and they cost £325, tell the sales assistant you'll pay £230. Next time a guy jumps in your Taxi and asks to go Aberdeen tell him it's £325, when he offers you £230, tell him the same as all the other sales assistants mentioned above would tell you!! "Fek off"

You actually believe this crap?

Sorry Kaiser, you're not Harvey Nichols and you're not selling a unique 5 star brand.
As for the 50" TV, I guarantee I wouldn't pay the sticker price. Salesmen in these places know they have to compete with the other shops and Amazon.
I'll give you the diesel, not much competition there but people still look for the garage that's a couple of pence cheaper if they can.

It's a lift to Aberdeen, not a status symbol. Nobody is going to pay you lot over £300 when they can get a PH to do it £70, £80 or £90 cheaper.
I'd be the first to say don't sell yourself short, but you're not selling yourself at all.

Believe me we get paid the full price for our out of town work. I haven't had a job to Aberdeen personally but I know a guy who has, full price paid of £325 from the City Centre. I have had out of town work and have charged the full price and been paid up front before the wheels are turning. You see Guzzie, we have to invest a lot of money to buy our Hackney taxi, whether it be a London Taxi, Mercedes or a Peugeot, we'll say £30,000 as the average price, a PH owner could put his car on the road for £5000. Now does that reflect a fair starting point. Should PH be treated equally to the Hackney Taxi drivers? Some customers will always use a Hackney taxi because they know they are getting a quality vehicle, a professional and knowledgable driver and in this day and age you only get what you pay for!!

Why is it PH want to charge so much less? Because they have to to entice customers to use them. No disrespect to the PH drivers out there, they're just trying to do a job, but fact is they will never be in the same class as a Hackney Taxi Driver.

Do you actually believe the shi*e you write? The only thing keeping your taxi on the road is your driver's rental. And if it wasn't for restriction, you would go out the box almost overnight.

Oh and your trade is Fu*ked and that's why everyone with at least half a brain is wanting out.

Talk about playing at being Charlie Bigtime, Kaiser, you should be embarrassed. #-o #-o #-o #-o #-o

Mr Miyaggi, your up. Sore head again from the booze my friend.

It's certainly not bull what I right, I would say it will intimidate you as you feel so weak and powerless as you are out of the trade as you had no balls. I don't know of many that want out of the trade to be fair. I do know of some who have left to see the greener side of the fence but jump back over again. You really need to get your [edited by admin] together Skull and stop making a complete erse of yourself.

Now for the fourth time Mr Miyaggi, what's the straightforward point you claim you are going to make? I think your full of sheite!!!!!

Wankon Wankoff Wankon Wankoff.

Enjoy the booze my friend, enjoy the booze.

P.S. I booked my holiday today Dull, two weeks in Cuba, all paid for by the wonderful customers who choose to use Edinburgh's Premier Taxi Company and the Airports preferred Hackney Taxi Company. City Cabs Edinburgh Ltd.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Kaiser/ Artur et all

Seriously, if a punter jumped in your cab and asked to do a deal for a trip to Adeen what would you do it for?

I genuinely do not understand why you would not budge, if that would be the case. You drive a cab to earn money, like all, sorry most in here.

Why turn down cash? Say you are 30 for fuel, even 280 you are clearing 50 an hour?

Principles Lionel. The same guy in your taxi wants you to knock £50 off the fair. He owns a clothes shop and is selling a Gucci jacket for £300, tell him you'll give him £250, you know what he'll tell you!!

Will do Lionel. You shouldn't under sell yourself my friend. Your worth every penny of the £325 to take whoever wants to go there!!
Don't listen to Dull Skull to Mutch Lionel, he's always on the booze so doesn't know what he's rambling about half the time. He doesn't even work on the Taxi Trade as he got his license REVOKED because he didn't have the balls to stand up for himself!!!!!

Still waiting for your straightforward point Mr Miyaggi???

Last time I did an Aberdeen, the fuel was £62 (25p a mile in a TX2 auto) and I did it for £280

A manual Mercedes or Peugeot would probably be £50 (maybe £45 in the pug at 18p a mile)

£280 - £65 = £215 I cleared for the 5.5 hours it took me (not including the half hour break i took) and that's a long slog for £215

Well it certainly explains why Edinburgh PH are a regular sight dropping off at Aberdeen Rail. We used to see a lot of Edinburgh Black cabs, but not so many these days.

Kaiser, do you think your customers give a shecht what you have to pay for your cabs? Why do you need to make more on a distance hire than you could possibly make in the same time around town? PH don't have to entice the customers, you're doing their work for them

What special knowledge do you or any other brief holder have of the route to Aberdeen or the whereabouts of the final destination?

129 miles bouncing around in a black cab or 129 miles in a comfy car? No brainer really, especially with a saving of nearly £100 8)

Jezus £325 for 129 miles #-o Do you wear a mask and a 3 cornered hat?

It's the customers choice Guzzie. Do they want to travel in a quality german motor with a fantastic driver or take a PH vehicle with a driver with serious personal hygiene issues??

I'd pay the extra for clean smelling air alone.

Listen to yourself Dull. So bitter. I know quite a few guys that single shift their taxi so f knows what you're going on about!?

The trade is fu*ked!??? I've heard that since I started 14 years ago. Loads of people leave and come back Skull. At least they have the balls to make such decisions without them being made for them! REVOKED!
