Skippy cant believe ANYBODY could be so STUPID as to work for £2 an hour, naturally GMB Membership would soon scuttle that crap, mind you'd need a backbone!!!!!!!!!!!!! Still put the current situation down to the joys of being UN-organised.

I do belive it
It happens every day in the Borders, to all the drivers who dont own there own cars.
Owners here use a split bag or get the driver to pay the fuel out of the takings then claim the drivers are self employed
For an example.
A driver starts at 8 am he does 1 school run then goes and sits on the rank he then gets his first pick up at 11am then his next at 12.30pm
he does 1 or 2 more hires before he has to get the school run again at 3.15pm he comes back and does another 1 or 2 runs before 6 pm he then goes home for tea then comes back out until 11.30pm most runs are around £4.00 or under so for argument sake he does 10 runs at £4.00 in 15.5 hours at £40.00 he takes half so his pay £1.30 an hour (rounded up)
The school contract is £3.00 each run but he will not see that half until the operator is paid by the council, 28 days later
