In that case the DfT better get paragraph 81 right before they release the updated version of the BPG.

I spoke to them today & pointed out that Brum's enforcement officer believes, after advice from the police, that enforcement officers can't enforce the touting laws (Section 167, CJ Act 1994) because the summons has to come from the Chief Constable.

The lady said she wasn't aware of that & asked me to email her so that she could look into the matter.

I suspect it's very due, maybe to co-inside with the new guidance relating to volunteer and ambulance cars.
