I don’t think David Coutts has thought this through. This is the last thing the council needed at this time. More Hacks means less Ph remember. I am not saying an increase in Hacks would wipe out Ph but it would put a serious dent in their fleet. Mr. Coutts has given the situation a higher profile from the angle of derestriction. [-o<

The council only have to de-restrict to shut him up.

The last thing he would be thinking about is getting into the greenways.

the only reason there would be less PH is a lot would just go and get there brief and buy a black cab as most can afford the £700 for a plate and when you take the cost of most PH cars there is not much of a increase in costs. (when i say that i can only speak for myself)

the thing i found sad about the radio yesterday was the wallys who think by buying a 40k plate that gets them acess to the greenways pitty they dont get that they cant buy plates only the buisness. but they did not half like playing the blame game. alot of them did not make the taxi trade look good at all

as for Mr Coutts he would be thinking about putting on black cabs more like a lot of PH firms would do

Good points Chipper.

I don’t really thing the hacks can expect to have unfettered access to the greenways while giving all their work away to the Ph and Bus companies. If they don’t expand to meet the customers needs someone else will? It’s a case of “you can’t have your cake and eat it” Like Mr. Muldoon Chairman (STF) said “the council should put on more buses” he even told me at the “the Ph just take up our slack” well that’s fine.

All is fair in love and war, let the Ph in the greenways.

Did anyone hear skull spouting on Talk 107 last night, same old claptrap he was using on this forum. Never quite understood what it had to do with PH in the greenways.

Read the above:wink:

Not to bright are you Cabby 1?

Nice to see your chums on fasties have got me back on the agenda. I was beginning to think they had forgotten about me. Jim is a bit pi**** off not being as high profile as myself and wants to know what he can do to raise it ? :D :D :D :D

Don’t tell me you haven’t heard about us on Talk 107 spilling the beans over the council run cartel.

Now I want you to consider your abuse, its getting a bit repetitive, I think a little originality is called for.

Garry

I don't listen to Talk Radio - it's only there for loud mouth fools to spew out their ill-informed opinions. Without opinionated fools like you they would cease to exist, they need controversy to exist, and you and your ilk provide that for them. Remember Scottie McClue on ScotFM - hated taxi drivers - always had good listening figures, always was controversial, and was always getting the sack from radio stations for going too far.

As for my abuse being repetitive, your avoidance of the questions is becoming increasingly telling, in that you have something to hide, I seem to have hit a nerve and you don't want to admit the facts, just spew your cretinous rhetoric.

Keep going Gaz - the cracks are begininng to show.

And just for you, no repetitive smillies.

OK maybe just one

I think l liked the repetitive abuse better. I can’t help get the feeling I know you somehow. Not to bright though, this probably explains why you bought a plate. Sorry now I remember , you don’t own a plate. You are just a driver who works for a benevolent overlord. Lucky old you, I bet you are really pleased living out your life in servile ignorance. No don’t tell me, your master has looked after you and you feel indebted to him. Now let me guess, you feel compelled to repay his kindness with your loyalty and he in turn will give you the recognition you so richly deserve. Oh what it must be like to be appreciated and revered by someone who places such a high value on your very existence. A life of service not of servitude miss placed loyalty or dependency. You truly are free thinking individual.

To be honest I feel a little sorry for you, I don't think you really had a chance.

Do me a favour and don't answer this post. There are some on this forum who understand exactly what I am talking about. And to a large extent probably feel the same way.

Look no emoticons.

Who really cares about PH getting access to the greenways. Ever since they were plated, it was always gonna happen.

We're both doing the same job, why do we have different licences.

PH should get into the greenways. They should be able to pick up from ranks. They should be allowed to pick up off the street.

They should sit the knowledge test. They should be subject to the same licensing conditions. They should prove their driving skills. First Aid. Knowledge of the legislation. Same vehicles. Same wheelchair accessibility.

A level playing field. A single licensing system.

Let's cut the crap. We all do the job. We all have the same conditions.

That's fair.

That's the Chicago way. Sshhyou know what I mean.

Would you know?

Do you have the ability to question and comprehend anything that may contradict your way of thinking?

I think not.

You got a plate for £150 and what you want people to pay K40? What happens when your owner decides to cash in and you can't get a job? More and more drivers means less drives or is the math too difficult?

Will you pay a £300 rental or perhaps you will remotgage your house and pay £40,000 to buy yourself a job?

Meanwhile all your work is getting on buses or in Ph cars?

Ye you really are a plum, senility obviously doesn't come its self. It's the knackers yard for you ma boy. You'd be better off turned into a bar of soap to wipe my ar** with, not that you would notice any difference.

Yeah, nobody says that with derestriction everyone has to drive their own taxi. It will be entirely down to owners to charge the kind of rentals which make it worthwhile for drivers to work with them.

But, at least the drivers then have a choice, and derestriction will have introduced competition into the market, benefiting drivers financially.

How can this be a bad thing.

Now auld reekie, which you should know has now been declared illegal in public places like taxis, yuo can make your point without all the childish preamble about personalities. This is a mature site. Stick to the point and let debate have its day.

You're having a laugh.
Nothing mature about this site while it has the three T's on it.

Ali-t and his quest for the holy grail A Flea pratt oops! sorry must be using his keyboard, lol

Mr Thomson (The skull) Reason for being bauld His head constantly up his own a*se. Plans to service Ali-T's E7 when he gets the franchise from Allied.

Mr Taylor (jasbar) Strange one, has an almost perverse obsession with councillor Anderson. Shares his e-mails with the evening news. Got to be his aftershave.

Funny how things change

Your not thinking of jumping ship Jim. It looks to me like a "I'am on your side ph, can I get a job"
Desperation creeping in. no one give you a drive?
With statements like that it doesn't suprise me.
You are your own worse enemy.
