That’s the sad thing about the internet, it gives as*holes like you a life. Before the internet, you weren’t even a pseudonym on a taxi forum. Now that you are someone, (104 posts, wow) how about saying something worthwhile, come on surprise us all?

Whatever you come up with I have no doubt it will be something original.

We all start somewhere Skull ............ and when you had 104 posts you were saying the exact same things as you are now, so whats the differance mate.

The simple truth is that you had your plate FOR FREE and you sold it ................ to my mind as soon as you did that you sold your right to be taken seriously.

Only my opinion though

B. Lucky :D

Hundreds have sold plates- big deal. Some got them off a list and other bought but all have a right to sell.

It's not my system but there's   :)

At no point I have ever said you were not entitled to do what you have done.

All I'm suggesting, and again this is only my opinion, is that you seem to want to be able to do it as a business with plates being given to you upon request but to no-one else.

Are you asking for the removal of the restriction of numbers or are you asking for the people on your list to be given a plate? because its not being made clear.

B. Lucky :D

Surely, in a free market supply and demand meet somewhere in the middle.

If there are sufficient freely available HC plates to meet public demand then few private hire plates are required. If, on the other hand, HC plates are restricted, private hire fleets mushroom to meet the unmet demand.
Either way, the total number of licensed vehicles, both HC and PH, will be set by the law of supply and demand.

This principle appears to well illustrated in many local authority areas in the south. Or am I missing something?

What, and you think this is the way the market operates in Edinburgh?

You have got to be kidding?

Can you imagine the fun you and Jim will have Gary, every post you put on in it Jim will agree 100% and everything he writes you can do the same.
I'm sure the two of you will have a lot to talk about after May,you know things like where did we go wrong this time and what do you think we should do now.
Your right about "never never land",that will be the place where you will "never never" fall out with each other, the place where you will "never never" disagree, the place where you will "never never"have any corrupt councilors, police, cab inspectors, sheriffs, lawyers and the place where you will "never never" own your own plate again. \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/

"the sad thing about the internet,it gives as*holes like you a life",kind of sums you up Garry don't you think.
This is your sole reason for getting up in the morning Gary, well apart from sitting at the Haymarket all day. :-o
We all know what you will come up with Gary, something like the council are corrupt, the cab office are corrupt, the courts are corrupt and now TDO are corrupt. Now what about you saying something worthwhile.
Shame you cant get your £1205 back looks like you are going to need it.

"Anyway have to go just now,my drivers just handed in his chucky,£418.78 day shift........WHAT A SYSTEM... "

And no unmet demand according to you. You're not even bright enough to be a pratt saf.

The clue is in the answer Jim you silly little man,"£418.78 CHUCKY".
You being on the street can only dream of a figure like this.
Now imagine working for a radio company and starting at 6 in the morning until 5 at night, thats twelve hours Jim,and to be fair the guy is always out.
Now last weeks chucky was quite high but he did have a couple of good jobs,Glenrothes and Stirling.Yes you will say,"funny he had two jobs like this"but believe it or not Jim they do happen
Now with regards to the "unmet demand",what part of this do you not understand.......the company phones for a taxi, the taxi comes, there you go "no unmet demand",they get a taxi no problem at all, demand met  You are as bright as a black out Jim,what a surprise.  Btw Jim,if you don't believe these figures just ask your friend Ali T
he used to tell everyone on fastblacks how much chucky he would make and he was with the same company as myself. :P

just shows how dim you really are saf.
i mean why quote what the driver gives you in chucky anyway?
i mean its not all youres is it!
he comes to youre door with bits of paper and you have to cough up a couple of hundred quid  god you must hate him coming to youre door.
and you obviosly have never worked the streets cause thier is no difference in the profits to be made.

the big diff is its all cash, and others think you earn less even hmrc. :D :D
having a radio only supposidly helps the owner get a driver, nothing more.
anyway cant really make sense of the rest of youre post it sounds like the rantings of a loon.
what did i say about youre fear

btw others have pointed it out but thats eleven hours not twelve are you sure it wasnt £4.18 he gave you

I am as daft as you say I am!!!!

There is no requirement for me to have an opinion on the Edinburgh trade...So, I don't have one. Now, that's daft!
