Europe is saved the recession is over, and everything is rosy in the garden - 26 out of 27 EU member states have backed a tax and budget pact to tackle the euro zone debt crisis. \:D/

There only appears to be one little problem, while they all agree to tackle the debt crisis, no one knows quite how they are going to go about it, so no solution to debt and low growth. :? Image

Never mind, I am sure it won't mean even more austerity measures for the little people of Europe.

I tend to agree. It's a bit like voting to stay on the Titanic. :-|

As it says "speculation is a fools game". Personally I don't think anybody knows at the minute not even those that have put the 'plan' together. I guess we have to play the waiting game and hope things work out

Well, you see that's the problem, as of yet, there is no plan. There's only the agreement to develop a plan. However, they want to cut it. It means printing more money and squeezing the little people until the pips squeak. The politicians can agree on whatever they like, but it doesn't mean the citizens of their respective countries will go along with it. It's the old story, those who created and benefited from the global financial crisis are not the ones paying to resolve the situation. :-|

Everything is relative to your own personal circumstances. The question is, how much more can you afford to be squeezed? Okay, people are spending because of the bad weather and the run-up to Christmas, but what then? The economy might be in trouble, but I'm convinced peoples attitude to money has completely changed. We've now got a nation frugal spenders and savers. No one is taking any chances and splashing the cash, unless they are in a recession proof job or are very well heeled indeed. And I don't believe there is any realistic prospect of things getting better for a long time to come. eusasmiles.zip
