I can't say I am 100% convinced of its validity but I am fully funded and believe I will get a bit of paper that means I can to hospital jobs. Good enough for me at the present.

You sum up the situation very well.

Unconvincing but as someone else is paying, so be it.

The problem will arise when councils make it compulsory and the pot is empty, leading to it still being unconvincing, but the bill stays with you.

On what basis has the trust decided that a driver with an NVQ is any better than a driver without one?

I think you mentioned earlier it is an assessment rather than a qualification? Some of the "non locals" in the sessions spent most of the time gazing around clearly not understanding what was being discussed, purely through the fact English is not their native tounge. I am sure they can adequately understand instructions from customers such as "go to station", "go to Yates", some of the finer instructions on collecting and delivering patients to and from wards and the protocols in getting them home may not be obvious?

Nah I never said it was an assessment rather than a qualification. I said it was an assessment. You obtain the qualification via an assessment
