Being part of City Cabs i play my part in Electing a committee to represent my rights at council level, recently there was a massive vote of confidence from the members of City cabs to keep the status quo, the work that our committee do is clear and they do what it say's it does on the tin, This though is our CHOICE and our RIGHT and in OUR opinion is the way forward to try and keep us in the manor we are accustomed to, we can't fight the competition on our own but we can do it collectivley, your problem with the 2 co-operatives is that you felt rejected, you didn't fit in to our democratic way but who are you to tell us about our rights when you can't even defend your own

Skull move over man and let this forum be about taxi issue's not vendetta's eusasmiles.zip

Dougie, CC have 355 members (aprox) and only 85 bothered to turn up!

How is that a massive vote of confidence? Just curious mate!

There is no doubt the status quo at City Cabs are doing a good job, there is no need to change the status quo, there was no one standing up against the status quo, in my opinion that is a sign that the status quo are doing a good job and the mass majority of members where happy for the status quo to continue, a no show or a non vote is a vote for the status quo :D

We are all the same us Taxi drivers and most of us are only interested in the bottom line, a few though do stand out from the crowd and take great pride in causing trouble for the trade, we know where they live  but hey that is their right eusasmiles.zip

Overall a lot of members are happy with the way City cabs are run and in general felt there was no need to attend, their reasons for not attending will vary of course but who am i to speculate, i got a Gullane from the Airport at 18:30 on the day of the agm, £70 job with a £20 tip, £90 job was my reason for not attending, i did inform one committee man that my priority at this time of year is Taxi Test, holiday and Tax :D

Quality and a lot of intellectual thought went in to that response  I didn't think you had that in you

I'm looking for a similar response with the News of my winnings today at Royal Ascot :D
£10 treble 1st 3 winners winning over £800 and a £20 double on the 2nd and 3rd race at Royal Ascot winning over £200,winning over a grand, get in there my son :P

Alex can we have a Gambling section so we cabbies who like a punt can share our stories and knowledge :?:
