First of all, repeating a question that has already been answered umpteen times, isnae’ clever, it’s just annoying. Anyway, here we go again... Rights ?, do we have them ?. Erm.. well, at the time of writing, if they are enshrined in law, yes we do. However, the rights that you continually blabber on about ie, HRA conflicting with a Councils right to restrict the number of Taxis, does not exist. It’s quite simple really, we are bombarded nowadays with Lawyers, ( In the Press, tv etc), telling us that they will take on cases on a , “No win no fee”, basis. Go to a Lawyers and see what they think. I know that you already know what their response would be.

You know it's difficult to indulge in a debate which is utterly stupid. Your “controlled growth” theory is fundamentally flawed when it comes to peoples rights. In fact, the only way it can work is for local authorities to abandon the rights of the individual. Only councillors and taxi drivers could come up with such a system and think everything is just the way it should be. #-o

What rights would those be?

CC

Your inalienable rights of freedom and equality, the right not to be discriminated against and exploited. The capping of plates is simply a charter of abuse for those with vested interests to protect. :-| And who ever heard of having rights, that change depending on what part of the county you find yourself driving a taxi. Fuc*ing stupid! #-o You can pass “the knowledge” in London and put on a taxi on the road but not in Edinburgh. #-o

If we work it your way Gary then anything in the world that requires investment is against the law, why aren't you on the energy firms scene, you could call your new company Skullgas, or Skullectric, although that slot racing firm may have something to say about that one, oops silly me, you can't just open up an energy firm can you cos it's regulated, how about Skullbus, ahh no good again regulation rules again, lemme think again, Royal Bank of Skulland, mind you that one is a risk but it pays nice bonuses for being something that can trade at a loss without hinderance from all those pesky investigators.

Would we really need a change in legislation just to change the allocation system? If not then what changes of legislation is he talking about? I wonder :D

The same situation wont happin again as the ipl is now defunct so they wont need a change in legiislation to stop the same senario, as you had previously quoted.

He was quoted as saying there will be changes to legislation, maybe there are other changes coming and i'm just speculating what do we think they will be :?:

Maybe they have found a way to cap phc through changes to legislation etc

and only an idiot would take a council solicitors quote as meaning their would be a change in legislation.
after all the person making the alleged quote doesn't have the power to implement changes in legislation.
its a no brainer really  kinda like yerself

but then again doogie the council are god to you,so its no surprise that it perked yer wee ears up.
