I love your sense of irony saf.

Of course, when you said "I think your the last person to point out mistakes" I think you meant to say "I think you're the last person to point out mistakes".

Tip

You're is short for you are, so try saying the sentence with "you are" in it instead of "you're", and it's then more obvious whether it works or not.

For example, "Is that you're taxi?", is obviously incorrect, because it's just a shortened version of "Is that you are taxi", which obviously doesn't make sense.

By the same token, "your a taxi driver" is incorrect, because it should be the shortened version of "you are a taxi driver", thus "you're a taxi driver" is correct.

Thanks for the lesson Fae Fife,it has been a very long time since i left school but your cheque is in the post.

The clue is in the answer Jim you silly little man,"£418.78 CHUCKY".
You being on the street can only dream of a figure like this.
Now imagine working for a radio company and starting at 6 in the morning until 5 at night, thats twelve hours Jim,and to be fair the guy is always out.
Now last weeks chucky was quite high but he did have a couple of good jobs,Glenrothes and Stirling.Yes you will say,"funny he had two jobs like this"but believe it or not Jim they do happen
Now with regards to the "unmet demand",what part of this do you not understand.......the company phones for a taxi, the taxi comes, there you go "no unmet demand",they get a taxi no problem at all, demand met You are as bright as a black out Jim,what a surprise. Btw Jim,if you don't believe these figures just ask your friend Ali T
he used to tell everyone on fastblacks how much chucky he would make and he was with the same company as myself.

just shows how dim you really are saf.
i mean why quote what the driver gives you in chucky anyway?
i mean its not all youres is it!
he comes to youre door with bits of paper and you have to cough up a couple of hundred quid  god you must hate him coming to youre door.
and you obviosly have never worked the streets cause thier is no difference in the profits to be made.

the big diff is its all cash, and others think you earn less even hmrc. :D :D
having a radio only supposidly helps the owner get a driver, nothing more.
anyway cant really make sense of the rest of youre post it sounds like the rantings of a loon.
what did i say about youre fear

btw others have pointed it out but thats eleven hours not twelve are you sure it wasnt £4.18 he gave you

Good one ali.

I just wonder who was meeting the demand while his driver was swanning off to Glenrothes etc.?

The problem for saf is he's telling everyone how everything in the garden is rosy, then tells us that there's only demand for the taxis owned by him and his cronies.

Anyone without a vested interest going to believe this twaddle?

Probably one of the other 1265 taxis, thats who where meeting your so called demand,
I have never said, "everything in the garden was rosy", i have always said there are more than enough taxi's in Edinburgh, that is why there is "no unmet demand"
You don't have to have a "vested interest" Jim,all you have to have is common sense, which you clearly lack. #-o :
The problem for Jim is that he is telling everybody there are not enough taxi's to cope with the demand but unfortunately for him it's only Gary and Ali that believe him.
I see you have not answered my previous question Jim,"why if there is this so called demand you keep telling us,and clearly you have still not got any proof,do you continue to sit on the ranks waiting for work to come to you.If there was an unmet demand you would be driving about making lots of money".
You are full of wind Jim,a desperate little man that spouts the most sh*te he can,you are a failure, you have failed in the past ,you are failing now and you will continue to fail in the future.

All this goes to show is that you don't understand what unmet demand is.

You seem to believe I've said that demand is a constant. That it is always unmet.

I've never said that.

Demand has a cycle, and it is being unsatisfactorily met at shift changeover during evening peak periods, peak weekend periods, 4 weeks of the Festival, Bank Holiday weekends, Shopping peaks in December, Christmas and New Year festive periods, Rugby weekends, International sports events, Peak periods in stations and airports .......

Now, because you're thick, let me say that I sit on ranks outwith these periods, because I'm concerned about meeting demand, and earning a bob. Any other times you see me on a rank, it's because I choose to, and it is patently nothing to do with anyone else. It may be to make or take a fone call, read a paper, eat my food or for any other lawful purpose.

That you seem to be so concerned with my rank habits makes me wonder whether you are stalking me. You aren't a previous spurned lover are you? You aren't some shunned product from CCs are you? Else, what other reason can there be for your obvious infatuation with me?

Who would have thought,Jim coming out with a lot of sh*t again
I fully understand what unmet demand is and so do the council and all the surveys that have taken place...NO UNMET DEMAND,get used to it Jim it's never going to change until the demand is there
If you are, "concerned about meeting demand",you are hardly dealing with this demand sitting on a rank, what about all these people standing on the streets you keep telling us
Once again Jim you fail miserably with your explanations. Now are you telling us that you bat for the other side,"you aren't a previous spurned lover are you",that might explain the fact that you are always sitting on the Gayfield rank, does your wife know
"infatuation",no sorry Jim,just pity.I see an old man with the world on his shoulders trying to come up with answers for his crazy little agenda,i see an ashen faced old man with a constant delusional look on his face and a man that knows he is near his end.

I agree with you on this jasbar. TDO had little choice but give in to threats of legal action. The site is more important than any individual who pays lawyers with other people's money.
Nothing was said that isn't already out in the public domain anyway.

I look forward to reading the new (foreign based) site. Loved the last one 8)

I don't object to TDO removing threads. The site is theirs and they must do what they can to ensure it isn't closed down in the face of legal threats from those who don't like what is posted.

I merely make the point that the rules in this country are that it is the messenger who bears the brunt of any legal action, not the individual who makes the remarks, and who may be prepared to stand by them because he knows that they are truthful.

I anticipate that the same remarks will be reiterated through a foreign hosted site where such sanction will be less likely. The truth will out as I say.

It would have been appreciated if TDO could have deleted the allegedly offensive material and explained why this had been done.

For instance, is it leaving the site open to legal sanction by stating that it was a certain individual, in an Edinburgh taxi company, using that company's corporate funds to pursue the public condemnation of his personal character, nothing to do with the Company per se (a clear abuse of position), which had forced TDO to pull the thread?

I think not. We're all struggling for the same end. Truth and justice in our taxi trade.

It's only to be expected that those who are responsible for the deceit, pursuit of their own narrow interests and injustice, will kick, scream, cry foul and squeal like pigs when confronted with the unpalatable truth of what their actions and conduct.

Perhaps TDO could try this Host to avoid any potential claims from those in the Edinburgh taxi company who are abusing company funds to wage their own personal vendetta?
