When I had a "free plate" and when I sold the plate, there was no shortage of shifts and drivers were, for the most part, earning as much and sometimes more than the owner. In those days, a taxi was having a job at your door. And both drivers and owners we were earning more than you are now. And there were no "businessmen" plate holders. Oh and the Ph numbered around a couple of hundred.
And in case you haven't noticed, you have lost the Airport to ECPH, and you are now working to help build a fleet of Ph. Which will compete against your trade's interests over many years to come, and you are too stupid to realise it.
So yes, I have the moral high ground and nearly twenty years ago, the writing was on the wall even then, to where this was all heading, and now you have almost arrived.
