Did anyone see the piece on The One Show last night about illegal plying for hire in Birmingham?

It's done more from the consumer perspective than from licensing/enforcement or whatever, but by media standards it's not bad and there's nothing hugely misleading.

It can be seen here - it's on at about 1 min and lasts less than 10 mins.

I saw that and thought it was interesting.

Especially the two lads who got into the unmarked car.

The sad thing is young girls are approaching unmark cars and putting their lives at risk. I think the program should have dealt more with this issue.

Our city centres have become a haven for rapists and nonses, because licensing authorities and the police are not doing their job and protecting the public.

Over 100 rapes and sexual assaults in Central London already this year. Its just not good enough.

This is not the first television programme regarding Birmingham..... in fact I think it is the third I have seen in the last five years..... and this is the city that the 0FT proclaimed was a model for Derestriction ............ I don't think so....
