The problem never was the taxi rank, it is one of the best behaved in York, about 30 meters behind the rank is a war memorial in a garden where louts and drug addicts gather to drink and make mayhem, but they seem to get ignored and the taxi queue gets the blame for the noise, the hotel is less than 30 yards from the minster what happens when it is bell ringing practice the manager will want that stopping next.
