SWIFT CABBIE BANNED FOR 100MPH FARE;
A TAXI driver caught doing 100mph with three passengers on board was banned from the road yesterday.
Sefi-Ullah Akram, 23, admitted speeding, saying he just wanted to get the job done as quickly as possible.
Police clocked him at 100mph on the A90, taking a fare from Dundee to Perth on November 2 last year.
Solicitor Cliff Culley, defending, said: "He was anxious to get to Perth as quickly as possible and his speed crept up."
He told Perth sheriff court Akram would keep his job if he was banned for three months or less.
However, Sheriff Michael Fletcher banned Akram for four months and fined him pounds 200. The Sheriff told him: "This was a high speed."
