Lothian Buses puts airport taxibus shuttle up for sale. http://edinburghnews.scotsman.com/edinb ... 5008967.jp 75,000 journeys annually to the airport. Am I the only one who felt the draft? Am I the only one who missed the trade's opposition to the service? Am I the only one to see the potential for the relaxation of taxi restrictions in this announcement?

Forgive me for not being as informed as you Chipper. What a superior being you are. Amn't I glad I now realise my humble position in your exalted sphere? NOT!!! It was 75,000 passengers. No matter how you look at this, we're talking a million big ones of business lost. That's some hole. Taking this out of the equation, that's got to add up to an increase in taxi plates. Yup????? Do people buy turkeys in March? |

your arithmatic is as bad as ever Jasbar !!! The fares where based on a sliding scale depending on the number in your party. So to make it easier we will say 75,000 individual passengers at £8.00 a head = £600,000. Even at its present price £10.00 it still adds up to a lot less than a million !!!! |
