OFT launches competition inquiry on the buses

COMPETITION LAW - TRANSPORT

Times, March 6, 2009,

The Office of Fair Trading has launched an inquiry into local bus services to examine whether concentration in the sector has had a positive or negative impact on prices and services rendered. It will also assess whether there is competition between operators bidding for tendered services.
