The NLCA has been defending one if it's members in the 1st "SELFDRIVE" challenge.
This morning (in court) it has been confirmed that the case against our member collapsed.

This case has proven that if "operated correctly" the selfdrive system is perfectly legal....
Another example of the NLCA working behind the scenes to help its members..

My guess is that someone in the prosecuting team f***ed up, and the trial barrister pointed out procedural errors, and the case was closed.

It all depends on the definition of collapsed.

I think the Limo Association is trying desperately to big up their input and trying to spin that self-drive is legal.

Not surprising they haven't got a f***ing clue what they are on about.

It's like saying that cos Sir Alex Ferguson got off his speeding fine on a technicality that speeding is now legal.

Trial collaspe cos witnesses don't attend, or change their statements, or the prosecution have messed up their prep. I could go on but trials don't go ahead for umpteen (or did I say a million) reasons.

I very much doubt this collapsed cos the bench deemed the self-drive act within the law. TBH it's above them and they would have case stated it up to a higher court.
