There should be a nation wide campaign to educate people on the dangers of getting into a private hire that has not been pre booked and also tougher sentences for anyone operating a bogus taxi.There seems to be a story on this forum nearly every week about a sexual assault or rape by either licensed taxi driver,private hire driver or bogus taxi driver and i don't think the government is doing enough to eradicate the problem. :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil:

I think the gov has given the authorities the powers to do things about it, it's just that those authorities choose to watch the telly at the weekend rather than do what is actually needed. :sad:

That could well be an answer but it raises the question of what vehicles each authority allows. If saloons are permitted, as has been said to me previously, who gets to drive what :?

It seems to me that those that have to have a black cab are being somewhat selfish with the attitude of 'I have to, so you should' can somebody please explain to me what's so wonderful about them apart from the turning circle which, I hasten to add, is not apparent on all HC
