Theft could kill off limo firm
THE future of a limousine company is looking bleak after one of its vehicles was completely destroyed during a break-in. Robert Hazell, the owner of Two Wheel Limousines based in Unit Two, Salamons Way, Rainham, had one of his two limos completely written-off at the weekend.
He said: "I do not know whether my company will survive because I have bookings from now until the end of August that I do not think I will be able to cover." The white Lincoln Town limousine was completely stripped and thieves took a radio cassette player, DVD player and flat-screen TV.
The limo, worth £25,000, was also sprayed with a toxic liquid making it completely unusable and a miniature copy was also stolen. Mr Hazell set up the company five years ago, booking out the cars for weddings, anniversaries, theatre trips and nights out.
Since the break-in he has rented a limo from another company to cover the bookings in the coming weeks. He said: "I feel absolutely gutted because this could actually shut us down and force me to lose everything."
Mr Hazell has put up a reward of £1,000 for anyone who has any information about the break-in. He said: "If someone has done something as malicious as this then they should be made to pay for it.
"I am willing to help out in any way possible and if that means putting up a reward then I am willing to do that.
