It's here, my mate who runs on the main radio circuit in town couldn't plot no nearer than 7th position in any area last night, the student market has gone until Sept, and that leaves an emaciated market until then as the night clubs have policied it to not want normal ppl in, soon the guy paying £270 pw for a PHC will work it out that he's wasting his time and quit, and I can't wait for it to happen, even our foreign legion is questioning if it's worth it anymore, so here's to reduced numbers, pain to the barons and a return to ppl who love being a cabbie for the right reasons, be gone all the rip merchants and miserable [edited by admin] who drive my customers elsewhere, and welcome a return of the diehard who knows what being a true cabby is, for those that don't know, it's a person who picks the down up, and offers FREE advice when things are rough, a stranger to pour to without fear of it biting you back, someone who makes their punter feel thsy ain't alone, someone who will go the extra if that person needs help.

Last night I had a D.Day Vet in a chair, he was going for the WAV until I offered him the choice, he came with me and we had a good chat, the WAV was waiting to pounce, but as I chaired ppl before the fishvan arrived I offered the chance to escape the chair and have a face 2 face chat, 85 years old, US legs, but we did it, and I think he enjoyed the personal service, ok it took longer but I dgf as I will bend over backwards for these ppl.

And come Nov, buy a Poppy, don't get last years one out again, buy a new one, I keep a sticker in the window all year so all the service lads past and present know they are riding with a friend.

Are you now suddenly a fan of market forces? :?

Doom you are starting to see the light. I am pleased that you now agree that market forces will prevail. You just have to keep the faith m8. Once all the part-timers/plastic cabbies have chucked it in you will go forth & multiply! :D :D :D

If only it was that easy, locally there's a feeling of I must not miss out, and also a job centre that is only too happy to move the ball into our court, as the job is as is with the customers renewable source as one mug moves on another lines up to take his place, now if we could get rid of data boxes and tom tom's then ya'd be onto something as only the creme would survive. :)
