Last night 2 coppers tried commandeering my Taxi for a girl who was out of her head on beer. It was obvious she was going to throw up, the coppers said "we are commandeering your Taxi to take her home". I said "like F**K you are" she's out of her head and she's going to throw up now do one mate I'm on a booking. They flagged down an out of town Taxi to take her home. They don't know the rules do they??

Anything to get the problem off their hands into your hands.

What are the police like these days???

Not only would she have almost certainly thrown up, she probably had no money, would have forgotten where she lived or her speach would have been that slurred that it would have been incomprehensible & would have fallen fast asleep on the journey.

No thanks; been there done that one once, never again!!

My answer always is, If you are that concerned about her/him then perhaps you would like to take them home.

The other most important thing is that I will never knowingly take a drunken woman on her own home! forget the throwing up bit, if she needs assistance getting out at the other end it means that you/I are in direct contact with that person, DNA etc, if she makes allegations under the influence then we are in a difficult situation - I really do not want to be going there!

Another night ( I must have a face that looks like it cares ) a copper came up to me and asked if I would take three lads home on a £40 fare who will pay when they get to the other end. He said that a taxi driver had picked them up but had gone off with £20 of their money :? and now they had no money between them! I am thinking well where is the other £20 that they would have needed and also they knew that they had to get home in the first place - So it was sorry, no money, no can do.

Just where do they get these do gooders who want to do good off of someone else's back.

Not in any fit state for you to carry safely anyway. Even if wearing a seat belt, an appropriate analogy may be to say it would be like balancing a pint of beer on the back seat and hoping it wouldn't spill during the journey. You'd end up with the contents of her stomach all over the cab and possibly blood everywhere after she'd cracked her head on something (not that I'm making any comment on the standard of your driving of course  ).

The coppers should've taken her to one of the greedy f*****g landlords who broke the law and clearly served her whilst already having drunk too much and get them to take her home!

It amazes me how that part of the law is never enforced. Has anyone ever heard of a landlord or any bar staff getting done for serving someone who is drunk?

Excellent point, but, the staff would probably say they didn't serve her somebody else must have got it for her.
