anyone know the rules regarding councils naming badge aplicants on their website ?,i check dundee lisenceing comitee meetings regulary,i have noticed and posted about low numbers applying and very high failure rates, it now turns out 203020 drivers are not named by the council,i have a recent quote of 30 drivers all passing the test, there are two reasons i can think of why 203020 drivers are not named
1, some might object to them (a lot of dodgy individuals have came through here)
2, the high pass rate compared to the high fail rate of the independandts might arouse suspicion,
either way i would have thought the general public would have a right to know/object to any future drivers who could be driving them and their familys about

Only a guess but until someone actually gets a badge they won't appear on the public register. I don't think the public have the right to object to an individuals application and applications don't have to be advertised like planning applications.
