Andy Murray Attributes His Wimbledon Loss to Susan Boyle

With the hope of becoming the first Briton in over 70 years to reach the finals of Wimbledon, the Scottish tennis sensation Andy Murray has got as far as the semi-finals. The 21-year-old Murray was playing American, Andy Roddick for a place in the final to play against five-times champion, Roger Federer.

Although Murray lost the first set to the American, he managed to win the second set and so they were even. The match was electrifying and all seemed to be going Roddick's way because he was five games to two ahead and seemed set to win the semi finals, but Murray made a remarkable comeback in a nail-biting third and final set and that ended at six games each which brought on a tie-break situation. Neither man could win this and so a fourth set was played. This one ended with a tie-break too, but Roddick finally managed a magical two points ahead which won him the semi-final. It appeared that Murray had finally run out of luck.

Putting on a brave face, a tearful Andy told In Seine News; "I had a [edited by admin] a game plan which involved fellow Scot and singing sensation, Susan Boyle who was supposed ti come onto the Centre Court at a point where I was in the lead. She was supposed ti woo the crowds by singing "Scotland the Brave". Alas, these diversionary tactics failed because Susan Boyle was stuck in a traffic jam on her way from Heathrow airport - she simply got here too late and I couldnae hold on any longer. I did my best because I knew that most of the crowd was with me and I didnae want on ti let them down."

"Ain't it strange that now I've lost, I have changed my nationality from British ti Scottish again?" said a bemused Murray. "Oh well! There's always next year, ain't there? I'm going ti have my favourite for tea - haggis and chips... Oh and by the way...

Everyone knows that the show isnae o'er until the fat lady sings!"

And this summer, unlike the English Cricket, Michael Jacksons family will have the "Ashes"

I'm glad he lost, if he can't wish the England team good luck and roots for the other side then the last thing I would want to see is him win it.

Whenever Scotland are in something I look out for them and hope they do well, right back to Argentina 78, sadly it doesn't seem to come the other way from many.

There's good & bad in all ..... and my view is that HE is the poorer for his attitude.

That said, I wish him luck at SW19 in future years & if he does not win it at some point, then I will be very surprised.

He is progressing at a pace, year on year.

Absolutely, it's not cos he's Scottish I wanted him to lose, just simply because he's a neanderthal knob who clings to the anti English thing in the same way the 15th generation afro carribean does over slavery, my take on that is I didn't do that to anyone, and nobody alive today had it done to them so they should move forwards rather than backwards.

I hear they are still waiting for the fire to die down, plastic burns for a long time

I never thought the 5 day game could be as exciting as t0 30.

The first test was the most exciting draw I've seen.

Tne complete England performance in the 2nd test, batting and bowling has been a joy. Alhugh I was worried they may have declared a tad too late to stave off a draw.

But Flinters brought it home.

The highlight so far has to be Rick Pontng's after match interview today.
