Hi Ladies/Gents There is no comment on the above consultation on this forum closing 28th July Verify Medical fitness secton re: Insulin Diabetic Group One. Check out the above and DFT Medical Web site DVLA at a Glance. Make sure your local associations/unions get the message across to DFT, where's the proof that drivers or passengers have come to grief because of a driver on this medication and following the C.1(one) procedures. If we let parts of this draft reach parliament we will be seeing about 2% 5000 of drivers on the scrap heap.
If you have friends in the Police/Ambulance Services bring the medical information to their attention does not effect Fire Brigade because the FBU won a legal case against DFT on discrimatory grounds.

We've got a few type 1 diabetics driving round our way, they are fit to drive and have been doing for years.

My sources say that all the MoM grouping are going to object to the revised diabetic criteria, and I hope they succeed.
